Our opening concert on 27th September, features the award-winning Irish ensemble, the Callino String Quartet. On the day following the concert, they will be giving a workshop in a local school.

In this excerpt, they play part of the Scherzo of Schubert's "Death and the Maiden"

On 18th October, Ivan Ilic, an American pianist based in Paris, gives our first piano recital, with works by Handel, Haydn, Schubert and Liszt, and a world premiere by an American composer based in Manchester, John L. King. The composer himself will attend the recital.

Here Ilic plays Chopin's Prelude No.18

On 15th November, our first violin and piano concert is given by Peter Evans and Ulrike Fenner. Amongst other works, they perform the wonderful Sonata by Cesar Franck.

The Edinburgh String Quartet return to us on 7th December, playing works by Haydn, Bridge, Dvorak and the Quartet No. 1 in F minor by Hans Gal. Here is part of the 1st Movement

On 16th January, a quintet comprising members of the Carducci Quartet, the Eimer Piano Trio and a double bass player will perform Schubert's popular "Trout" Quintet, the Schumann Piano Quintet and a Haydn string quartet.

On 14th February, we will welcome back the Kungsbacka Piano Trio, whose talents have been so well appreciated here.

The Academia Wind Quintet of Prague return on 12th March, with a wonderful variety of works, including Tchaikowsky's "Nutcracker Suite".

On 11th April, our final concert is given by the hugely imaginative former RSAMD students, the Thistle Brass Ensemble. They also follow up the concert with a school workshop.
